Economic Development Advisory Committee

THAT the November 6, 2025 Regular Meeting Agenda of the Economic Development Advisory Committee BE APPROVED as presented.

THAT the minutes of the Economic Development Advisory Committee Regular Meeting held on September 18, 2025 BE RECEIVED.

THAT Report No. C-EDAC-003-25 BE RECEIVED for information; AND THAT the following schedule for 2026 Meeting Dates BE APPROVED:  Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.  Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.

THAT Report No. C-EDAC-004-25 BE RECEIVED for information; AND THAT the Economic Development Advisory Committee RECOMMEND that the correspondence from Andrew Gunn Consulting advising of the consultant’s withdrawal from the Thames Centre Mural Project BE ACCEPTED; AND THAT the Committee RECOMMEND that the remaining project budget BE RETAINED; AND THAT the Committee RECOMMEND that staff and the Committee Chair reach out to the private donor regarding the cancellation of the project by the consultant; AND THAT the Committee RECOMMEND that a consultation process BE INITIATED in 2026 to decide on locations and concepts on a future mural project.

THAT Report No. C-EDAC-005-25 BE RECEIVED for information; AND THAT the Economic Development Advisory Committee RECOMMEND Thames Centre Council to DIRECT staff to initiate a review of the Community Improvement Plan to be brought forward for consideration in 2026; AND THAT the Economic Development Advisory Committee SUPPORTS the proposed Community Improvement Plan Annual Budget increase from $20,000 to $30,000 for Council’s consideration and review during the 2026 Budget review process.
